Yousef is a graduate of the theatre department of Tel Aviv University and has Christian-Arab roots. He is working in both, cinema and television, with a particular focus on international productions. He is part of high-end theatre productions in Germany and Austria and the creator of his own stage performances. His long list of work also includes global shows like Game of Thrones, Homeland and Unorthodox.

For his lead role in the TV-drama 'Night Therapy' he received the 'Best Actor' Award at the Israeli TV Academy Awards 2025. The series centres around Louie, an Arab-Israeli psychologist who is struggling to raise his family after the suicide of his Jewish-Israeli wife. He decides to shift his practice to receive patients at night.
