Yousef is a graduate of the theatre department of Tel Aviv University and has Christian-Arab roots. He is working in both, cinema and television, with a particular focus on international productions. He is part of high-end theatre productions in Germany and Austria and the creator of his own stage performances. His long list of work also includes global shows like Game of Thrones, Homeland and Unorthodox.

His most recent TV-drama Night Therapy has received international attention where he plays Louie, an Arab-Israeli psychologist who is struggling to raise his family after the suicide of his Jewish-Israeli wife. He decides to shift his practice to receive patients at night.
